March First Friday- FREE!
March 2 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The public is invited to celebrate the opening of the traveling exhibition, Water/Ways, on loan from the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program (on display at the FAM through March 11th). Water/Ways is designed to reach small town museums as part of the Smithsonian’s #ThinkWater project and aims to raise appreciation for water as a vital resource for life, educate citizen and students about critical resource issues, bring people to an understanding about what water means culturally, socially, spiritually, and to their community, and to inspire people to conserve and protect water as an important resource. A complimentary reception will take place on the third floor from 5 – 8 PM.
The Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) is excited to announce that it will remain open until 8:00 PM every First Friday this spring, with FREE admission from 5 – 8:00 PM. A full schedule of programs/events is listed on our website http://www.famva.org.
